The Armagh Ambassador Programme

In November 2015, Customer Sense Training and Consultancy were delighted to be appointed to deliver the Armagh Ambassador Programme on behalf of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council

Our Task

Using a mixture of offline and online marketing communications tools, twenty five enthusiastic ambassadors were recruited in January 2016.  They were a mixture of people working in Armagh hotels, bed and breakfasts, bars, visitor attractions, students and local residents excited about what Armagh has to offer tourists in 2016.

Starting on 9th February 2016, Lynda Willis, Siofra O’Reilly and Jane Adrain from Customer Sense organised six Tuesday morning tours where the Ambassadors got the chance to visit all 16 attractions which the City has to offer.  For the full itinerary, please click here.  Plus a series of guest speakers popped in at the morning “Nosh and Knowledge Sessions” to update the Ambassadors on the exciting range of events taking place in Armagh each year.

Success Story

Each week, a group of four or five Ambassadors were also asked to write a blog and take photos to capture the essence of their morning adventure.  Lynda Willis created and managed this website where she posted their excellent articles and photographs as a lasting testament of what they saw and experienced.

Finally the 25 enthusiastic Armagh Ambassadors starred in the video where you can see the range of attractions visited – whether it was taking penalties at the home of the penalty kick in Milford Village, making rockets at the Armagh Planetarium or simply appreciating enjoying Brian Valleley’s amazing art collection at the Palace Demesne.
