Mentoring Support for Flawless Beauty

Lurgan’s first Princess Ball

In June/July 2017, Lynda Willis from Customer Sense Training and Consultancy delivered 20 hours’ mentoring support to Angela Graham, the owner of Lurgan-based business, Flawless Beauty Pamper Parties.  This was carried out as part of the Business Engagement Programme from Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.  Mentoring focused on helping Angela to plan and promote her first Princess Ball which was held in Brownlow House, Lurgan.

Client

Angela Graham from Flawless Beauty Pamper Parties

The Brief

Angela’s objective was to host a Princess Ball and Tea Party using her team of “grown up” princesses to have afternoon tea with little princesses.  She had been running successful pamper parties since 2015. She needed help with:

  • Finding a suitable venue
  • Costing the event
  • Promotion of the event

The Methodology

Brownlow House was the preferred venue and Lynda introduced Angela to the management team there.  The date was agreed (5th August 2017) and ticket prices were decided upon based on the event’s costings. Event photographs were taken of the five Disney princesses outside Brownlow House.

Promoting the event then started on Facebook and Instagram with bookings being made on the Eventbrite website. Posters were designed and distributed in the Lurgan area.  Lynda drafted a press release which was published on page 2 of the Lurgan Mail as well as in the very popular NI4Kids magazine.

The Outcome

Thirty five young princesses attended the Princess Ball on Saturday 5th August 2017.  The event was a resounding success and feedback from parents was extremely positive.  Future Princess Balls are scheduled to take place later in 2017.
