Ambassador Training launched in Hillsborough village

A worldclass welcome for Hillsborough visitors

Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, in conjunction with Tourism NI are running a series of WorldHost Ambassador Workshops at the start of 2018, which are open to all customer facing businesses in Hillsborough. This programme will focus on customer service addressing visitor needs, giving a warm welcome as well as indepth information on the tourist attractions in Hillsborough village and the surrounding area.

Development of Hillsborough Castle

Alderman Allan Ewart MBE, Chairman of the Council’s Development Committee said: “The charming village of Hillsborough already attracts thousands of visitors a year who enjoy its visitor attractions and eateries.  With the planned investments by the Council for the Public Realm Scheme and Historic Royal Palaces for its further development of Hillsborough Castle, tourist numbers are set to increase significantly over the coming years.

“This training course is the ideal opportunity for local businesses to gain the invaluable skills and techniques that form the fundamentals of service professionalism. Quality customer service is key to the success of any business and this course will prepare frontline staff to deliver the highest levels of customer service to all visitors.”

Great opportunity for Hillsborough businesses

As the Council and Tourism NI are keen to offer this fantastic opportunity to businesses in the Hillsborough area, the course is available at the discounted cost of £20 per candidate.  This nominal charge will cover the one day training course on customer service and product knowledge, refreshments on the day and a certificate on completion of the course. Lynda Willis from Aghalee-based business Customer Sense Training and Consultancy will be delivering the training course.
