WorldHost Ambassador Workshop in Randalstown Arches

The End of a WorldHost Era

Every WorldHost course is different because the delegates are different each time. Yesterday’s WorldHost Ambassador Workshop was very different as it was the last time for me to deliver a course using the “old version” workbooks. Just like Brexit, WorldHost as we know it is changing to a new format as at midnight on Friday 31 January 2020.

Over 2300 people attended WorldHost courses with Customer Sense

Since 2012, I have had the pleasure to deliver 205 WorldHost courses to over 2300 people in Northern Ireland. It has been an absolute privilege to meet so many wonderful people in the hospitality and tourism industry across the province. I’ve worked with people in many different businesses from Ballycastle to Newry and lots of places in between. Interestingly most of my courses took place “east of the Bann” but I did make it to the city of Armagh a few times as well as Limavady for the Golf Ambassador training which preceded the Open in 2019.

The types of businesses were very varied – St Anne’s Cathedral, Royal County Down Golf Club, Armagh Planetarium, Pickie Fun Park, Belfast International Airport, Hillsborough Castle, Roe Park Resort, Richmond Coaches, Queen’s University Belfast, Brownlow House, Ulster Independent Clinic, Robinson Services, Moira Guest House and Translink to name a few. Hopefully my training has helped people in their daily interactions with customers as well as encouraging them to visit and talk about more places in our beautiful country.

WorldHost success for Randalstown

Randalstown was the venue for my last course – the Ambasssador Workshop which was my favourite. And Randalstown did not let me down as I met some incredible people who were very proud of their “town” – it’s not a village as I was told a few times.

Many congratulations to the successful WorldHost graduates from Kearney’s,  The Vintage Wine Merchants, McManus Hardware, C&F Wind Turbines NI, Antrim Credit Union and The Old Forge Randalstown.  Thank you to Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council for organising it.
